As the film climaxes, Nash pulls off the mask to shockingly reveal Ivan, and not Vladimir. He does this so she can turn him in to the Russians, and then gain the accolades necessary to succeed him, so that Nash and the Americans continue to have a mole.ĭominika seemingly agrees and makes an off-camera deal with Colonel Zacharov that will see her return to Russia, with the Americans receiving their informant - a masked Marble - in exchange. The American embassy is called in, and the movie's finale is kick-started with Irons' Vladimir visiting Dominika in the hospital to reveal he's the mole. She pulls a fast one, pretending to side with Simyonov, but it's part of a setup that sees her and Nash kill the Russian, while coming off badly wounded. As Dominika's web of deception grows, the Russians run out of patience in trying to extract Marble's identity from Nash, and so they send a hitman, Simyonov (Sergej Onopko), to torture him while he sleeps with Dominika. She then tricks the Russians into sending her back to the Americans, who'll now believe she's really on the CIA's side.
